Dr. Janet Larson
For more than 30 years Dr. Larson has practiced academic medicine in a hospital setting. She has been a resident and licensed physician in Pennsylvania since 2008. She is triple boarded; in addition to board certification in Pediatrics and Neonatology, she became board certified in Integrative Medicine in 2017. Thus, she is uniquely qualified to understand the pharmacokinetics of cannabis medications and explain their use to patients.
As an academic physician and educator, she has a strong interest in educating her patients and referring physicians. In her career as a researcher, clinician and administrator she: 1. Has practiced clinical medicine for more than 25 years. 2. Chaired/served on ethics, biosafety, quality improvement and patient satisfaction committees. 3. Received National Institute of Health, National Science Foundation, and New York Department of Health funding for her research. 4. Holds a patent for her research on in utero gene transfer. 5. Has published over 30 papers and articles including the Lancet and Nature Medicine. 5. Has been invited to speak at National Institute of Health Policy conferences and asked to review grants/papers for multiple organizations including the FDA.
